This screening explores SILENT VIOLENCE ,violence that is not always visible manifested in abandonment, precariousness, institutional neglect, and affective relationships marked by pain. About ZonaSur Cinema Club: ZonaSur Cinema Club is dedicated to showcasing the rich diversity of Latin American cinema, highlighting stories that reflect the cultural, social, and political realities of the region. Our aim is to foster dialogue and deepen understanding through film. Organised by @curiobookshop and @ZonaSur_cinema Opening: “Beto y Mena” This short film depicts the everyday life of two brothers from Bolivia based in London, where violence is an ever-present reality, but expressed through micro-interactions and relationships marked by pain. “A mano propia” Based on a true chronicle of a lynching in Bolivia, this film explores the consequences of popular justice and community violence in a context where the State often fails to provide protection or formal justice.
